This is a hand-embroidered wool coat designed by Anastasiia Podervianska. St. Michelle was created in March 2022, while the artist waited in Kyiv, capturing a moment of strength and contemplation.
The coat portrays Saint Michael, the patron saint of the city of Kyiv, his figure rendered in radiant gold and deep blue embroidery. With outstretched wings and a calm, protective presence, the design transforms the garment into a symbol of resilience, faith, and the enduring spirit of Kyiv.
