Where does fashion end and art begin?
Fashion designers have long drawn inspiration from art and even formally collaborated with artists, a tradition that traces back to Elsa Schiaparelli's 1937 'Lobster Dress, an A-line silk-organza dinner frock with a giant Lobster motif designed by Salvador Dalí.
We turn the conversation around: artists take inspiration from fashion to create a collection of artful coats. Nathalie Lysenko art currator of the project invited 10 artists to create arworks in the form of coat design. 10 artworks will leave the gallery walls and take on life of their own on the street.
