The idea of inviting artists represented by LYSENKO Gallery to create fashion pieces emerged after experienced the remarkable success of the first coat designed by Anastasiia Podervianska (St. Michael). The piece drew extraordinary attention, transforming a personal garment into a living work of art.
This was our first experimental attempt to bring an artist, whose primary practice is in fine art, into the world of fashion. It resulted in a professional collaboration with our fashion stylist Nikita Gudzovsky and exceptional Ukrainian artisans specializing in hand embroidery.
The creation of sketches came naturally to the artists, and the team watched with admiration as each idea was born and brought to life. This once again confirms that an academically trained artist possesses a remarkable depth of vision and mastery.
