“Pansexual Lynx” (Doll IV) sits between the worlds of representation and abstraction. The lynx has curled pink whiskers and piercing golden eyes that look directly at the viewer. Peker gives the lynx human features, which are emphasised by the baroque style of portraiture. She invites the viewer to reconsider the nature of identity, sensuality, and animalistic nature, all with a subtle irony.
