‘Eve’ depicts a naked woman lying down, stretched out whilst the bright red background engulfs her. The use of red suggests her raw sexual desire, and its extensive use on the canvas further emphasises how this desire is overwhelming her. Her face is hidden by a shadow, making the emphasis of the piece on her pale body against her red surroundings. Serhiy Rezhichenko uses confident strokes of colour to develop the sexual nature of this piece.
