This hand-embroidered wool coat, designed by Maria Kulikovska and made in Ukraine in 2025, is part of the artist’s ongoing “888” series, a body of work exploring feminism, identity, and performancethrough material and form.

The soft rose palette and fluid contours contrast with the precise structure of the garment, evoking both vulnerability and defiance. The embroidered textures, reminiscent of organic surfaces, suggest traces of the body — a recurring motif in Kulikovska’s performative practice.
