In Femininity, Serhiy Reznichenko presents the female figure as an elusive presence emerging from a richly textured field of blue and violet. The woman’s poised profile and luminous skin contrast with the expressive, heavily worked surface of the canvas, creating a tension between clarity and dissolution.
Reznichenko allows the figure to gradually merge with its surroundings, using gestural brushwork and layered colour to evoke femininity as something fluid rather than defined. The work moves between portraiture and abstraction, transforming the female image into a study of presence, atmosphere and perception.
